Grandview Heritage

Project Location: Pymble

Working closely with our interior designer, we came on board this project to renovate the rear section of this heritage-listed home in Pymble. The current layout was not working for our client’s lifestyle and the home was to be reconfigured to create more usable spaces and open-plan living.

Internal walls, kitchen, laundry and bathrooms were all gutted and renovated with structural steel support beams and a new design and fit-out. During the removal of walls and opening of hallways, original brick archways were uncovered and reinstated with feature art deco corbels.

The alfresco area didn’t go untouched, with V-groove panelling lined to the ceiling and curved brick walls reinstated to tie in with the heritage facade. In keeping with the high ceilings of this grande home, we also raised the alfresco patio roof/ tiled balcony above to not only create a beautiful outdoor courtyard but also link the balcony to the second-story height.

Detail was a must with embellished joinery, detailed custom fireplaces and wainscot panelling to walls and ceilings. Tying in deco features with the mod cons of today’s living.
